Surveillance, pest outbreaks and invasive species management Profile of China (2005-2006)

In 2005-2007, with the improvement of infrastructure and the capacity of plant protection and quarantine staff, China promptly detected the alien species such as red imported fire ant and cucumber green mottle mosaic virus. The Chinese government put emphasis on improving pest investigation and surveillance.
