<p>The publication “Progress in pesticide risk assessment and phasing out of highly hazardous pesticides in Asia” is based on the outputs from a regional workshop that was organized in Nanjing, China from 19 to 22 May 2014 for the purpose of informing Asian countries about new developments and encouraging them to join the international efforts to reduce pesticide risks and create a less toxic agricultural environment.</p>
