Executive summary

Since 2005, China has adopted the practice of regionalization. NPPO has revised and improved the examination and approval system for quarantine plant pests and the isolation, control and eradication system for quarantine pest outbreaks and newly detected quarantine pests. National inputs have been increased for the infrastructure construction of plant quarantine and a number of plant pest early warning and control stations and quarantine and testing labs have been set up.
