APPPC Regional Workshop on Development of Commodity Specific International Standards on Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs)

This regional workshop is part of the APPPC’S biennium work programme for 2020-2021. The original proposal was to conduct this workshop in 2020 The objective was to promote the development and acceptance of international and regional commodity specific standards and to discuss the implementation of the APPPC Regional Standard for Phytosanitary Measures (RSPM) 11 for mango. APPPC RSPM 11 for mango was adopted in 2019. ue to the Covid-19 situation it was agreed that the workshop would be postponed to the second quarter this year. Instead of the original proposal we will now take into consideration ISPM 46 on commodity specific standard which was recently adopted at the CPM-16 2022 as well as an ISPM for mango (first annex to ISPM 46) to be developed based on RSPM 11.
