Short Description

This site has been developed and maintained by the SAARC Agriculture Centre (SAC) Dhaka Bangladesh for compilation and sharing of updated knowledge technologies and resources related to pesticides and pesticide management in SAARC countries. It is free for all to use. The OBGECTIVES of the SPINet are: To compile details on pesticides in use mode of action their chemical nature recommended uses application details and restrictions pattern and trends of pesticide use records of health and environmental incidents. To assist with information and experience in banning and restriction of pesticides causing problems under local conditions. To assist with information for effective interventions in pest outbreaks and pest management options. To provide information about environmental and health effects of pesticides under local conditions and possible remedial options.
